Alexander Hamilton

Now, I know I talk a lot about how much I love the musical Hamilton, and it’s the best thing ever, but I bet a lot of you guys are wondering, “What’s Hamilton?” Hoping I’ll write a post about it, or maybe even googling it. Well, if this explains you, this post will revive you from these thoughts. Hamilton is a Broadway musical by Lin-Manuel-Miranda all about… Alexander Hamilton. Who’s Alexander Hamilton, you ask? Alexander was the very first secretary of Treasury, and Washington’s right-hand man in the Revolutionary War. He wrote 51 of the 85 Federalist papers, and was the one who inspired John Jay and James Madison to write any! He married Elizabeth Schuyler in 1780. He died in a duel with vice president Aaron Burr in 1804, two years after his son Phillip died in a duel as well. I hope this post inspires you to learn more about him and inspires you to listen to Hamilton.
